Welcome

The key to coping successfully with an illness is not only to be an educated consumer but also to hone your sense of intuition about what is healthful and not healthful for you.

Over 24.5 million Americans suffer from autoimmune diseases  – and yet this group of illnessess is still poorly understood and underrepresented in research and medical schools. Most primary medical doctors have only a rudimentary education in autoimmune diseases and do not have  knowledge of or access to the kind of cutting edge research, testing and treatments that may make a difference.

Worse – as patients we tend to put our head in the sand about our own health issues and because of our unwillingness or inability to adequately ascertain the scope and depth of our illness fail to seek and get appropriate medical care – rather tolerating a lifetime of disease and medication.

Uninformed doctors combined with patients who do not trust their own health intuition and do not advocate for themselves is a recipe for personal and public health disaster. How many people do you know who suffer from Rheumatoid Arthritis, Lupus, Asthma, Scleroderma, and more?
